[sdiy] Where there two versions for JX8P ?...

I wonder if there were two version for Roland JX8P.
Somehow the one I just bought sounds not as good /
organic to my ears that what I recall of the one I had
two years ago. I also saw that the current one has an
original 3 legs power jack while the older one had a 2
legs jack. Any idea ??....

BTW, I noticed that the JX8P and MKS70 differentiate
in the opamps used mainly - the JX8P uses Sharp made
4558 while the MKS uses a M5218... Could the M5218
just sound better ?
