Yes,
LMB has some nice alternatives, my personal favorite is the keyboarder
series, i have a 7x20" model (which i picked up on a "close-out" when yet
another electronic shop closed).  They're nice as they don't have the "flat"
area that so many console cabinets have and are "shallow" enough to allow a
lot of differing deployment strategies.

The omni chassis parts seem like one of the better options for DIY chassis
work....
