I don't think the 13600/700 are obsolete, i can get them
over here anyway. But otherwise the ne5517 is supposed to
be a pin compatible alternative. My local electronics shops
website says (about the ne5517) "like lm13600 but better",
without qualifying that in any way. It's quite a bit more
expensive though.
