Yes, I am still alive. Every few months I experience a "flip-out test"
of some sort, during which I avoid my computers and people. I guess I
am getting better. It'll take me a few days to catch up on posts.
It's annoying, but the tempcos are late. I was told that I'd start
seeing them at about 7/22, but they are running a bit behind. The 1k
will arrive first, then the others.
More annoying still is that the 2k and 1.87k will take another few
weeks to arrive after the 1k are done. I guess KRL/Bantry aren't used
to doing business with individuals who pre-pay... it took me about two
months to get everybodys money together, and then I had to ride the KRL
people to take my money. They'd say "ok, 'X' amount of this value for
$'X'", but I'd look days later and they hadn't charged the money from
my bank. Wash, rinse, repeat. Considering their business, I'm surprised
that I practically had to fight to pay them, it was frustrating and
took a long time. Unfortunately it was my best option as I have no
credit references for an account.
So, the 1k are (still) bound to be ready at 'any time now'. I really
don't expect any problems. It sucks, but the other two values might be
as much as 6-8 weeks later, since they hadn't put my order through for
a long time. This frosts me, because I already have 1k tempcos of my
own here, I want 1,87k. Please do consider though that they are a small
company who hand-craft premium tempo resistors. No doubt all of this
would have come together much more easily if I had money in the bank to
pay them up-front in the beginning, but that's just how things are.
Meanwhile I am getting the stuff I need to pack and mail the tempcos
when they arrive.
Much of the reason for my depression over the past few weeks was due to
the bomb getting dropped on me that the order was getting processed so
slowly. "Arg! I wanted to help them, but now the SDIY people think I am
even more of a git then before!". I really have been trying to push
things along so well as I can while remaining cordial with them. Just
as with all of you, I was hoping that I would have gotten and shipped
the tempcos by now. It sounds too much like a dumb cliche, but I really
do apologize for any inconvenience. My patience is also finite. Feel
free to flame me or complain if it helps you to feel better, but the
ball *is* rolling. Each order will be shipped as soon as it is filled,
ASAP.
