[sdiy] TLC272 vs CA3140

While we're on the topic of opamps, I've been wondering if TLC272's would 
substitute well in circuits that call for CA3140.

My guess is probably not - not usually. The 272 is all CMOS while the 3140 
has CMOS inputs.

I've never really seen an opamp that would totally take the place of a 
CA3140. Maybe one of the Excalibers like a TLE2062? (I have one of those...)
