It's hilarious.

Not only the value matters, also the type of capacitor changes the sound.
It's a great way to learn the charaters of various components.

Also, you can build crackleboxes with various opamps.
The 709 is the roughest. The 741 is a lot neater, in a bad way.
You can even make them with a 071, although it needs two
batteries to be fed well enough... The cracklebox is a concept.
