My parents recently cleaned out my old bedroom and found boxes of my old
"Contemporary Keyboard" (later renamed just "Keyboard") mags. In the best
spirit of ridding themselves of all things past, they dumped this off at
my house recently.

This morning I went through it and was pretty surprised how complete the
collection is. I have the issue 1/number one with chick corea on the
cover, and issue 2 with herbie--these are from 1975--and then all the rest
of the issues (with a few missing here and there, but not that many) until
end of 1991, when I guess I got fed up with all the crap about expensive
gear and canceled my subscription.

The mags go from reasonably decent condition to excellent condition.

Much fun here. The one with Wendy Carlos on the cover is pretty
amazing....also a column in a few issues by Bob Moog, lots of reviews of
"classic" keyboards, ancient album reviews, funny ads, tips about how to
be a rock star.

I am in a dilemma of what to do with this; ultimately my wife wants me to
get rid of them pronto--"She who must be obeyed". So away they go. I
looked on Ebay; there are a few "keyboard" issues for sale but no
bidders....not sure that's a good venue for these or not and I cannot get
a handle on what if anything these issues are worth from them.

I could dump em off at my alma mater university library....or I could
donate them to a university where I used to teach....

Before I do that, any idea what, if anything, these things are worth?

I'd consider selling them to someone on the list, I figure they may find a
good home to one of the readers here, but I guess at the moment donating
them to a library is at the top of the list unless someone can talk me out
of it. I don't want to piece them out, rather get rid of them all at
once. Email me if you are interested. Remember that these things are
HEAVY so shipping is going to be costly....

BTW, I have some old Guitar player and "electronic musician" mags too but
the collection isn't as complete. haven't gone through those yet.
