Hehe.  I think he just means it is technically not the way to be sure.  
Obviously there are normally going to be strong relationships if they 
had any kind of consistency in the chip manufacturing process 
minimally.  But the way suggested is more proper since it takes into 
account the actual things which are going to affect the performance of 
the circuits in question usually. -Bob
