are you shure its "VCOs" as in CCO "current controlled oscillator",
ie, a linear oscillator (integrator + comparator trigger) or if
its more of the DCO variant type of VCO? 
Tom marketed the MARION SYNTH as using "HRO's", 
high range oscillators wich sugests to the 
timer+ integrator type of VCO!

would be interesting to know if the polyevolver uses VCO's!
