[sdiy] easy (?) decoupling cap question

Google for "Harry Bissell" and capacitor and you
should get a paper I wrote on the subject.

Usually, decoupling caps are polar electrolytic
(if you are using electrolytic) or polar tantalum
(if tantalum) or ceramic (which are not polarity
sensitive).

I usually just use a .1uF ceramic at the power pin of
each chip...and one or two tantalums or electrolytics
for the whole board (if it is small).  For larger
boards I have SO many .1uF that the larger caps are
almost unnecessary
