Hi Joseph / E.O.J.

The Poly is basically five Evolvers stuck in one case. There are a LOT more
knobs on the control surface, which is a good thing (Dave Smith does NOT
like the "a few buttons and an LCD" style of interface, but he was stuck on
the Evo Rack because he didn't want to make it bigger than 1U), but the
internal sound path / architecture is identical to the original Evolver. It
basically uses a PIC micro for control, two specialized Curtis chips for the
analog VCOs, VCFs and VCAs, and an Analog Devices DSP for everything else
(digital oscillators, high pass filter, distortion, delay). Here's a link to
