We have USB to MIDI interfaces out there which could connect up to a MIDI to CV box. There is no reason you can't skip the MIDI part and go with an USB to CV box. So yes we can do it.

Don't know if anyone has done it.

Probably the hardest part would be writing drivers for it. You would have to provide a MIDI driver that sits on top of the USB driver that talks to your hardware. So if you wanted to use this on Windows, MAC and Linux you'd have to write 3 drivers for it.

If you are doing this commercially you'd have to get an USB ID. That's either $1500 or $2500 <http://www.usb.org/developers/vendor/>.
