[sdiy] Map Progress (So Far)

I let some replies accumulate for a few days, and today I started plotting
points on a Synth-DIY map. I thought everyone might want to see a very
early snapshot of the map:

Each red "S" is a Synth-DIY member. I'll probably change that marker to
something a little nicer, after I finish compiling all the replies into the
map.

I realize now, that I should have told everyone to look up their latitude
and longitude before replying. :) I've been busy cross-referencing lots
of cities, using various online geography resources. If anyone needs a good
geography reference, to look up their latitude and longitude, this works
pretty well:

If you have already posted your location, please DO NOT send me another
email with your latitude and longitude. For those people who have not yet
posted their location, please lookup your latitude and longitude before
posting. It would be best to post in a format like this:

Latitude: 37.92943
Longitude: -122.04436

The software that I'm using does not like the traditional
Degrees-Minutes-Seconds style of notation. Note also, that there are no
East, West, North, or South labels. A simple negative sign indicates either
West or South. (I can convert between the two notation systems if needed,
but it takes a bit more of my time.)

There are only 55 replies plotted so far. I have lots more emails to sift
through. I expect the map to look a lot more populated when I'm done. I
won't start with Analogue Heaven or Digital Hell, until I have finished
with Synth-DIY. I need to streamline my procedure quite a bit, before I get
that far.

Suggestions or comments are certainly welcome.

Thanks,
Glen
