[sdiy] Making patch cables

Fwiw, Canare is pretty good wire, but has an impregnated carbon 
shield that has to be pulled back to avoid shorts at the connector 
ends. While this cable seems to be excellent in rejecting hum, I've 
found that the wire can be noisy and somewhat microphonic. This is 
based on usage several years ago though. The product may have changed 
since. I use Mogami, Belden, Carol and others nowadays.
Just my 2 cents.
