That's a very neat circuit, thanks for posting it! I service an X-ray machine 
that transfers it's KV and mA data and feedback between the control console and 
the high-voltage generator using voltage to frequency conversions and vice-
versa. It's a bit more complex, but not really that much, and it's quite 
accurate and stable.
