That doesn't work for people here in rural West Virginia. The only options
I have is a B&W infrared aerial photo, taken in 1990, or a topo map dated
for 1975! I even tried some of the larger cities in Ohio, and had no luck
finding hi-res urban images.
Just for fun, I entered Beverly Hills, California. I just zoomed in to the
maximum level on the default coordinates. This image is in COLOR!!! I can
see the windows in automobiles, shadows from lamp posts, lines painted on
the streets. I also see a lot of swimming pools. :)
I'm still amazed that I could make out the slender electric line in the old
1-meter resolution photo of my place. Maybe if I knew where to look, I
could see similar objects in these urban hi-res images.
I had no idea that 0.25 meter images were online now. Thanks for mentioning
that.
take care,
Glen
