I have to commute everyday from LA to Pomona and at most it's an hour from
downtown LA to Pomona on the 10 Fwy, though some days it is indeed longer. I
take the 210 freeway to work and it's generally better than the 10 by about
ten minutes. Pomona is not in Riverside County, it's in LA county. It's
actually a few miles from the San Bernardino County line.
Still, I agree with Peter. It ought not to be in a commercial establishment
if we can find another place to hold it. The Eagle Rock place sounds
perfect, if it can be had.
I can't wait to do this, where ever it is. I'd even drive up to Goleta and
make a weekend of it! I'm new at this and it will be my first, so I'm mostly
coming to look. Not sure the analogue stuff I have is worth bringing, but
I'm willing to help out however I can.

Guys,
As cool as it would be at Analogue Haven, we need something a bit more
centrally located than Riverside county - which on a Saturday means 2 plus
hours of horrid LA bumper to bumper on the 210. Given that Jim will already
have 2 or so hours under his belt from Santa Barbara and there will be
others coming from even further North, it's a little too far from LA.
Besides, I would prefer not to have this at someone's store as it's better
if it's just an independent thing among synth heads, which is why I decided
not to do it at Big City Music, either. I hope both BCM and Analogue Haven
are planning on attending and bringing some of their gear, however - that
would be very very cool.
