NEC  upD446C-2  (without L suffix) would have
leakage current in standby from 1uA at 25C to
5uA at 60C and 10uA at 85C

The L suffix is 1uA at 60C ... much better.

You could battery back that up with a larger
lithium cell, I would not use a coin cell for this
one.
