[sdiy] Solder Paste Masks?

  Tom,

I've done 0.5mm pitch parts with the drag-tip with great success. In
fact it does better for me than the reflow.

For paste, I usually tape the stencil down, then use a flat edge to
trowel paste across it from the middle to each side. Pull the stencil,
remove excess paste with a toothpick, then carefully place parts directly
down onto pads without any sideways motion.
