a friend of mine who goes to MIT [sadly not studying electronic engineering
or any fun music stuff] and i are working on a project that is almost ready
to be pseudo-publicly released... when it's mostly done it will be an open
source database project, originally intended for school schedules...
students can enter all of their classes, class times [or period], teachers,
email and screen name, and the usual message board type info... you can then
sort students by teacher, grade, the assigned lunch, name, any of the data
entries. since it is pretty basic stuff it will be easy to customize -- it
wouldn't be too hard to implement a map and zipcode system for the US in
order to label member locations, especially since both are freely available
together on the internet...

this project started as a little thing for highschool a year ago... haha now
it's getting fancy :P
