[sdiy] Hmmm...OK NOW you can panic :(

Hi Magnus,
It's not usually worth traveling 4 miles to go to Fry's, let alone 9
timezones! Fry's is not so much an electronics store as a showcase for human
folly. Another hint is to plan in advance so that any purchase you make
could not possibly end you up in the returns line - that would truly be
horrible.
I usually end up there like this: say there is a part that I know I can get
online by just moving my fingers, for a good price, that will drop into my
lap as I sit at my desk a few days later. But that's not good enough - I
need it now! My emotions take over! I walk out of a huge city-block-sized
building, after an hour and a half, with a single sawtooth discharge FET in
my hand.

Fry's is the place you go when you just fried something up and need a quick
AND
dirty solution... or that's at least what we used to joke about.
I wish I could make a raid to Fry's in order to build myself a pair of new
computers. Unfortunately the closest one I know of is 9 timezones away! :P
Cheers,
Magnus
