Mouser has the NJM13600 in stock... so why NTE
NTE components do not necessarily suck... but sometimes they do.
As a replacement line, they often acquire NOS parts on last time buy
or closeout. Sometimes those parts are for sh!t.
The biggest problem is figuring out whether the NTE part is EXACTLY
the part you are expecting, or a substitute part, or a part not vaguely
related to the original.
Also, the prices are usually quite high.
They are targeted to the electronics repair business... where you might need
a certain transistor to fix some vintage piece... Often the price of repair
can
handle a couple of parts, but for new (s-diy) designs I'd be leery (or you'd
be
really wealthy :^)
I have had some success (commercially) with NTE subs, as well as getting
burnt
with parts listed as a sub that had different pinouts etc (in specific a
Lambda power
supply IC)
perhaps "suck in in the eye (or mouth?) of the beholder" :^P
