It is lame when companies "obselete" useful parts, but I doubt if the
3080 is going to disappear anytime soon. If I am not mistaken, there
are several companies producing them - or more will.

Remember about three years ago when this same scare happened regarding
the 13600 and 13700? National quit making them, but then within a few
weeks JRC started. Last week I checked National again (because their
13600 data sheet/ application notes rocks), and they once again list
these as currently produced ICs as well.

Still, can't hurt to make an OTA vault. It's not like they won't be
needed!

Now about the CA3019...    >;]P
