Back in *my* time, we were lucky if enough interstellar dust gathered 
together to give us a dang body to inhabit.
Even luckier if it had suitable appendages on it to base a number system on.
An then the Borg...yes them...if they picked up on whatever intelligence

Anyway, I remember the old TIs - I think there was a model that stored 
programs on magnetic strips that a little motorized reader would pull 
through a slot on the side of the calculator.

I bought an HP15C back in 1983 and became an RPN geek. I still have it 
today and it works great.
