[sdiy] SUCCESS! - (was: anybody ever managed to fix a chroma polaris with dead buttons?)

Following Glen's instructions my repair was a complete success. I managed
charm a local photo supply store out of a capful of PEC-12, and it went
smoothly. I haven't relocated the female connectors yet but I intend to do
so sometime in the next week or so.
I'm really baffled by a synth that weighs no less than 40 pounds, with a
chassis of solid metal except for the parts that are inch thick wood, a heat
sink that could put out a forest fire, and a major connection so delicate
and stressed that it would just crack in half on its own.

Anyways, thanks for the help!
