[sdiy] anybody ever managed to fix a chroma polaris with dead buttons?

Hi Doug, 

Would you happen to have a picture of your Polaris II ?

I don't think I've ever seen an actual model II before. I would greatly
appreciate knowing what the difference might be. I saw a picture on the
internet once of a Polaris with a totally different color scheme. It didn't
have the typical blue panel markings, and the end cheeks might even have
been a natural wood grain, instead of the typical black painted look, but I
can't remember for sure about the wood color. I have no idea if the unit in
that picture was a model II or not.

I'm really itching to know what the difference is.
