[sdiy] AGND and DGND etc. When to bring together?

Thank you Harry, and others, for the explanations on this subject.

It seems that, if im just building the enclosure and supply lines for the modular, and not designing the boards themselves, then my
best option is probably to keep the lines apart until i can supply a big enough pipe to ground. Which may be at the psu.

So, im clear on my route with that, but then i come to Capacitance decoupling caps.

Im sure that the Oakley distribution board (site is down, i cant check) has components between each take off point, and, do i
remember some resistors or diodes also? But the MOTM board that ive just looked at a picture of simply shows caps at the end of the
strips.

Now not being particularly wise with this im wondering exactly where i should locate, and also what sort value the caps on my
distribution boards should be?

To give background, the first system im looking at is a 4 row eurocard system (doepfer/a.sol), which, at present, has 4 simple (no
component) busses bought back to a single point in the cabinet, and then out as one line to the psu.

Im not happy with the way my lfos (with leds) interfere with audio from the vcos, even though they are on different rows (the AGND
and DGND on the doepfer system is joined - i have no option there, but was also thinking of my fresh efm system (grounds separate)
with the original question...)

Anyway, I will increase the gauge of my ground wires on the cabinate shown for starters, but, yes, im also now wondering about
capacitance, for both systems (?)

Any further comments?

Thanks again,

Julian
