[sdiy] Key cleaning

Many of the keyboards I receive for service are in desperate conditon --
smoke, grease, spilled liquids that have dried, etc --
Alcohol can work; windex + ammonia type cleaners (sprayed onto the rag,
not the keyboard) work well; if I have to disassemble the keyboard for any
reason (rebushing, contact cleaning, etc) I just remove the keys & soak
them for a few hours in dishwasher liquid -- after a good rinsing, they
look fine.
