For faders from Digikey, look into the Panasonic ones. They make
some nice rail-glide ones. You'll know they're the right ones if
they're about $35 apiece.

They probably aren't suitable as a crossfader by themselves...but a
pair of stereo ones mounted right next to each other, and sharing a
single fader cap would probably make a decent crossfader.

As far as clean audio, you'll probably want low noise circuits, with
high headroom and decent output current drive. The ol' 5534/5532
opamps are cheap and relatively clean. I've recently been
experimenting with mixers based on discrete transistor opamps, with
power transistor output stages, running from +/- 24V supplies.
