I have some scrap from a 16 channel XLR snake from a studio
installation. That stuff is also great for internal connections. It's
nicely labelled one, two, three, etc on the outside of the jackets which
makes following the wires quite easy after they're bundled inside a case.

I used it extensively in my SH-101 modifications since there was very
little room for circuit boards inside, and you commonly need to use a 12 or
14 inch wire to get from the board to the new jacks/pots... I figured
shielded was the best choice.

Unfortunately that stuff is probably too expensive to buy new, but if you
have any laying around it's great. I was fortunate since the last studio
that I wired needed about 60 feet of cable in the conduit between the drum
room and the console... and darn it only came in 50 and 100 foot lengths...
so I have almost 40 feet of 16 channel snake laying around (which was paid
for by the client).
