I think Barcelona is a great place and appreciate any excuse to visit 
there. But it's miles from the UK and miles from DE, and those countries 
are where most of the big DIY interest is.

Getting one's self on a plane isn't a problem, but getting hardware across 
Europe is a bigger issue and not very practical (or at least not cheap) for 
anything modular-sized. So I'm guessing any savings would be lost in 
transport costs.

Maybe a better idea would be to alternate UK/DE. Or perhaps meet half-way 
in Holland, both of which are driveable from the UK, if you're feeling brave.

Another would be to tie up with one of the big synth music festivals (e.g. 
Alfa) and get a two for one thing going. They hold equipment demos and 
workshops already, and you'd be more likely to sell some hardware to make 
the whole thing financially worthwhile.
