[sdiy] Speech Synthesis

You probably notice that there is a lot of discussion about
already-made gear here. People often want to fix or reproduce features
from difficult-to-obtain synths, so this can be relevant to Synth-DIY
(in my opinion!).

I have heard of Groove Electronics, who if I am not mistaken made some
retrofit kits a few years back. Don't know more about them, and never
heard of the Oratron. My cursory searches yielded no data at all. What
I recommend is doing a bit of research on other Groove Electronics
equipment, find some contact names which you might be able to follow up
on. Maybe you can find a phone number, resume, or other info which you
can use to contact the former GE people. If the device was never
released, the developers are the only ones who are likely to know any
details.
