Shucks, you mean that with their wider and brighter color bands, and
greater contrast in color, carbon film resistors don't actually make
sound more "colorful" as some audiophiles are sure to believe?
Is it then untrue then as well that when sound travels through those
heated loops in wire-wound resistors in tube equipment, that it
doesn't become distilled, resulting in purer sound, as some
audiophiles surely believe? :-) :-) :-)

That's one horse sound that I don't care to have my audio equipment
