When I mess around with the contour and keys, I can faintly hear the
difference. If I hear sound only when I press keys, or set the LFO to
auto-trigger then I'd assume that the contour is opening and closing
the VCA.

No, it does not track. I tried the trimmers just in case but with no
effect.
