from the design copyright holder.  The Intels and Nationals
of the world still hold rights to lots of things that are
out of production, and for some reason they often don't
seem to be very interested in licensing even though it
would be essentially free money for them."  


That is a strange way of doing business.  It's nice to see places like OnSemi and Rochester taking over production of discontinued parts where possible.  In fact, I was really surprised to see OnSemi still putting out the SA572 in DIP format.

Speaking of which, is it OnSemi who has the rights to the old CEM stuff, or is that someone else?
