[sdiy] transistor substitution question

Hi all,

I'm building Rene Schmitz' VCA2, and I was wondering if there's any reason
*not* to substitute the bc550's with bc548's. I have 548's, and they seem to
work as well as the 550's (I only have a couple of the 550's, and I'm making
several VCAs).

ANy help and handholding is appreciated.
