[sdiy] Intro and basic IC compatibility question

The 74C14 "might" work...let me go get my Midi->CV docs...if this is
IC6...I would say there is about a 99% chance it will not work...the usage
I am not sure about is IC6D where it feeds the 74HC373...(provides the
strobe to latch the data bus for the DAC). The 74C14 is a bit slower than
the 74HC04, and I am not sure if you will violate the setup and hold times
for the data bus...I think you would be best off getting the correct
part. If you were my neighbor, I would trade you a cup of sugar for one (I
assume you do not live in Santa Barbara)...
