I'd recommend removing a line cord from a lamp
and graft a 9V battery snap to it.  Plug this in place
of
the 9V battery in a small effect box - that should
take
care of that pesky 741 once and for all   :^P

(I have seen this done... there was a rattle inside
the
effect box... turned out to be the undamaged lid of
the
741, you could still read the markings.  Probably a
candidate for the Darwin Awards !)
