This would be VERY much like a 'vintage' Fender
Vibrato
unit... originally they used a photocell with a neon
lamp over it... and a piece of tubing surrounding it.

If you work on such an amp in LIGHT the vibrato will
not work correctly.  Turn off the lights !! :^P

OTOH in a Fender amp, the closed box is quite light
resistant !!!

H^) harry   (who repaired his first Fender amp at 12
years old... long long, too long... :^)
