Well, again, the 3031 looks lika a very nice project, but it's
rackmount, has no sequencer, doesn't run on batteries and is a bit
more than a 303 clone anyway. And it's sold out so I'd have to wait to
even have a chance of getting one.
And I guess I'm pretty set on DIY; otherwise I could get the real
deal; they are getting within something resembling reasonable prices
again, and there's always Syntecno (well, rackmount etc but probably
as good as the 3031). BTW, I've heard the MAM-clone in action a couple
of times and IMHO it doesn't sound anything like the 303. It doesn't
even have 18 dB filter nor the TB VCO, does it? Or is the MK-II
better?
