Sorry; I bet this is the question everybody are really tired of
hearing, but I must ask:
Can you recommend any DIY TB-303 clone project for a guy who
understands basic electronics and is getting quite skilled with the
soldering iron but who has too limitied theoretical knowledge to build
his own from scratch? I would like to get a clone that sounds like the
original (and I know there's alot more to it than just a sawwave and a
resonant lowpass...) and preferably also looks similiar and operates
like the original - and can be run on batteries.
The Oakley 3031 doesn't seem to fit my needs; the old ML-303 project
seems to be long gone.
The only thing I've found is the Meadowfield clone
(www.meadowfield.freeuk.com/synth/tb303a.html) but as I'm a newbie
there's some things I don't understand. Is there any way of getting in
touch with the author of the Meadowfield page? I couldn't find his
email address anywhere.
Also - do you guys have any suggestions on which hard-to-get-parts
that can be replaced with more modern alternatives?
/Johannes
