Okay, now in the last year or so, I think SDIY has led to the feeding-frenzy
extinction or near extinction of 566 VCO chips (several sources), several
CEM chips (Synthtech and others), 3080s at Mouser, cheap C&K switches at
Electronic Goldmine, and other parts I'm sure I just can't recall right
now... People, this is what they call "Buying Power." If we could just
harness all of this for good instead of evil ;) Actually, if we could just
harness this...period!

I think the recent post about tempco resistors is a good idea, and a prime
example of what I'm talking about. In fact, I'll take five of the little
buggers if we can get the price down to the $2.40 ea/100 quantity level.

Now if we can just get up $30,000 to get the tooling started on OEM slide
pots for ARP gear (yes, I've talked to CTS, the original manufacturer, and
that's what they want to get started...sigh). Okay, maybe that's a bit much
;)

Anyway, I think the tempco quantity buy thing is a good idea. As you were.

Tim (I keep winking like ;) and my face is going to stick that way) Servo
