Heh. My first personal scope was a Tek the size of a compact car which was
made somewhere around the end of WWII on a dare by someone who drank too
much whiskey during a conversation then ended with something like "With
those new transports, we can move anything". But even it had BNC
connectors. I mostly grew up on Knight Kit and Heathkit stuff tho for real
work.
OOhhh I just cruised the Tek 500 museum and there's my scope! It musta been
a 511 but I swear it had BNC connectors... Its probably still in the attic
of my parents house next to the Hallicrafters SX28 and my other old tube
gear thats waiting for me to own a home with a reinforced floor.
