[sdiy] goop on pots

I'm sure that some of you guys must have run into the problems with the 
"lubricant" that Tapco used on their pot shafts,  where the stuff tends to 
stiffen up over time,  and has in at least some instances that I know of 
locked a control up solid.  I've even seen some cases where they shaft 
snapped before the junk would let go.

Anyhow,  I'm looking for tips on this stuff,  any solvent that'll deal with 
it,  and any technique that'll help me get it out of there without getting it 
into the resistance element itself...
