[sdiy] [OT][FS]Teac 40-4 Tape Deck

I hate to post this here...but, I figured I would give everybody first 
crack here first.  I haven't used this thing is several years.  It is in 
(as near as I can tell) nearly perfect condition.  One cosmetic flaw I know 
of is my license number etched into the front panel.  This is a rack mount 
tape deck.  I originally payed $1500 for this back in 1978.  It is pretty 
much worthless now with digital recording, at least in my opinion.  Heads 
have about 200 hours on them.  It weighs 100+ pounds, so shipping is very 
problematic.  I was hoping somebody in Southern California might  be 
willing to buy it.  I was thinking of $100....you can either come and get 
it, or I can drive it to you (if you are withing say 90 miles of 
Goleta).  It includes the service and operators manual... yep, just 
checked, still have them (includes schematic).
