[sdiy] cheap oscillator

I found my solder last night (just where I'd left it ;-) and wired up
an Op Amp Function Generator Kit. Results will be posted after I take
some o'scope photos and level measurements, but I can say this: A 4
diode triangle-to-sine waveshaper is (to put this nicely) *not* the
lowest distortion way to make a sine wave. Still, at only $5 from
Marvin Jones (I've seen them for up to $15, elsewhere), it was easy to
build and a cheap way to play around with an oscillator:

This one is going to become a cheap "reference" oscillator for a
friend of mine. Someone just lent him a Tascam 38 8-track 1/2" for an
indefinitely long period of time, so he needs some kind of reference
tone source. "Cheap" beats "none," in this case.
