I visited a Atmel seminar in Utrecht some years ago, the STK500 offer
included.
But the STK500 software tools expired after 30 days :((
So I took a AVR development kit instead, it still works...

Hope the STK500 offer is a bit more substantial now.
The "fee" for the seminar has doubled, so 60 days STK500 use included??

Cheers
Theo
