Nothing to stop you doing something similar with a Chameleon :-)
ok, not the fastest DSP in the world, but you should be able to do what you
want.

Yeah, most of the new ones have USB interfaces, LCD drives, 4 USARTS and a
whole bunch of other stuff, all on one small chip.
