Well, not to offend some sensibilities ... but my top 10 for SDIY, 
for Fall 2004 would be:

I know it sounds at least strange, and even horrifying to some, but I have
learned how to do precision analog and other amazing things with the
LM3900. I have used it for 30 years, so that's my favorite (albeit 
unconventional, perhaps misname) opamp of all time.
