LM339 is not the worlds greatest comparator... I don't like the missing
"ground" pin of the LM311. Plus, the quad configuration guarantees a
LOT of crosstalk... and the pin config sucks imho (is that enough reasons
:^) ?
LM3900 'could' have been a great chip... if it were not promoted as an
'opamp'
which it sucks at... but rather as a current-controlled-voltage-source
which it
might have been good at... if the quality were a little higher. I might
have forgiven
it if Bob Pease didn't agree it sucks !!! (note... I'm not sure he used
that precise word
